On Saturday, April 23, 2016, 21 students attended the Region 2 Academic UIL meet in Texas A&M Commerce.

The math team members included Michael Tang, David Doty, Tahsin Bari, and Rebecca Crosman, which was coached by Bob Walsh. The accounting team members included Michael Tang, David Doty, Chase Miller, and Leo Reyes, which was coached by Cindy McKinley.

All students did an awesome job regardless of whether they have medals. Many were very close. We had quite the cluster of black polos there, looking good and intimidating. I’m impressed at the diversity of our abilities — we had entries from debate to computer science. The students are to compete in state in Austin May 23, 2016 as a wildcard entry.
