Wednesday, April 13 through Thursday, April 14, the girls and boys track teams competed in Bullard at District Track and Field. JV and Varsity Boys track teams they are the 2016 District Track and Field Champions. All three varsity relay teams advanced:
4×100 m Hunter Branin, Austin Railsback, Kaleb Golden, Deundre Phillips won 2nd place, 4×400 m Railsback, Jaden Mayfield, Josh Lee, Golden won 3rd place, and 4×200 m Branin, Phillips, Fred Attaway, Jamal Johnson won 4th place. 100 meter runners Branin won 1st and Phillips won 2nd will also be advancing. Additionally, Railsback advanced in long jump, high jump, and 300 hurdles. He earned 1st place in all three. Maylik Sellers advanced in 300 hurdles as well receiving 3rd place. In the 200m Golden advanced to area receiving 3rd place and Attaway advanced as 4th. 100m hurdles Sellers advanced to Area with an overall of 2nd place. Shot put Andrew Dawson advanced with 2nd place and Keiston Anderson advanced with 3rd. Isai advanced to Area in the 3200m run placing 3rd and in the 1600m run getting 3rd as well. Mayfield placed 1st and Lee placed 3rd and are advancing in the 400m.

The girls advanced to Area which is taking place next Thursday. Kendol Pitts, Mykaela Alfred, Karmya Roberts, Treonna Scroggins, Starla Starks, Markya Battee, Key’era Quezada, April Walker, Karlea Duhon, Jalora Brown, Justine Elliot. Karlea Duhon was the district champ in the long jump and high jump!
