The FFA club has participated in a can food drive to support the “Souperbowl”; an organization that started in 1990 that helps collect money and food for those in hunger in the United States.

Around the time of the NFL Super bowl it is estimated that 140 Million people will tune in to watch. During this time fifty million Americans are facing hunger. That’s over 500 stadiums filled with people in need.FFA teacher, Wendy Velin has been in charge of this fundraiser this school year.

“It was a good beginning,” she said. Velin hopes that in the future this could be a district wide competition.
