On February 6, 2016 the UIL Academic team traveled to Brownsboro high school. David Doty received 5th place in number sense. Rebecca Crosman received 6th place in Mathematics. Leo Reyes received 3rd place, Alexis Kuykendall received 5th place, and David Doty received 1st place in Accounting, which was the 1st place team. Vanessa Gonzalez received 5th place, and Leo Reyes received 6th place in Computer Applications. Nathan Austin received 6th place on the 2nd place team in Computer Science.  Alesha Lewis received 5th place in the Lincoln Douglas Debate. Caleb Otte received 4th place in Headline Writing. Kelly Krenek received 3rd place, and Deborah Paredes received 4th place in Current Issues/Events. Deborah Paredes received 5th place in Literary Criticism. Javier Pizzaro received 6th place Social Studies.
