On Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Hallsville High School, students competed in UIL events.

Tahsin Bari received 4th place in mathematics, second place in science, and ended with the top score in biology. Vanessa Gonzalez received third place in computer applications while Alesha Lewis received 4th place in persuasive speaking.
