Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader, Rachel Lunsford, choreographed a dance with the Highlighter Drill Team on January 21. Lunsford is a graduate of Whitehouse High School and Kilgore Junior College. She was a Rangerette with Highlighter director Katie Hewitt. ‘”Each year, I bring in different choreographers to work with the Highlighters and expose them to different styles of dance. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders have a very unique style that is sassy and fun, and I thought bringing in a DCC to choreograph our Pom routine for spring show would be a nice change from the style of Pom routines the audience typically sees us perform during football season. Rachel, being from East Texas, was perfect because she was able to share her experiences as a drill team dancer from Whitehouse, as a Kilgore College Rangerette, and now a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader”, Hewitt said.  “She related to the Highlighters, and I know they all admire her and enjoyed working with her”.
