Twelve students competed in the Business Professionals Region on  Saturday, January 16, 2016 in Plano West, Texas. 

Chase Miller made 1st place and Haley Larsen made 6th place in Payroll Accounting . David Doty made 1st place and Michael Tang made 3rd place in Fundamental Accounting. Tashani Bari made 1st place and Kara Zacapa made 6th place in Intermediate Word Processing Skills. Tashin Bari made 1st place in Open event in Parliamentary Procedure. Leo Reyes made 2nd place and Alexis Keys made 5th place in Advance Word Processing Skills. Maricarmen Espinoza made 4th place and Tony Bami Ognbiyi made 5th place in Medical Office Procedures.

Finally, Samantha Cox made 2nd place in Extemporaneous Speech. The state qualifiers were Haley Larsen, David Doty, Michael Tang, Tashin Bari, Samantha Cox and Maricarmen Espinoza. The state alternates were Haley Larsen, Alexis Keys and Tony Bami-Ogunbiyi.
