Eleven choir students qualified for Area which is the second of three rounds for All State choir; this was the highest number of qualifiers in the region which ranked them first. Montel Hood earned seventh chair in Men’s Bass and Mariah Higginbothom earned ninth chair in Women’s Alto.  Choir students look forward to the Solo and Ensemble where sixty students will be competing, on January 30th at Whitehouse High School; each kid will memorize and perform a music piece. Superior ratings will get to perform in Austin at State.
