Upperclassmen attend College Fair

The second annual CHHS college fair was on Tuesday, November 17.  Over 40 colleges and universities visited with juniors and seniors about their future. The Texas public universities were Sam Houston State University (Huntsville), Stephen F. Austin (Nacogdoches), Tarleton State University (Stephenville), Texas A&M University (College Station), Texas A&M University- Commerce, Texas A&M University- Galveston, Texas Southern University (Houston), Texas State University (San Marcos), Texas Tech University (Lubbock), Texas Women’s University (Denton), University of Houston, University of North Texas (Denton), University of Texas at Austin, University at San Antonio and University of Texas at Tyler. The Texas independent universities/colleges were Abilene Christian University University, Baylor University (Waco), East Texas Baptist University (Marshall), Howard Payne University (Brownwood), LeTourneau University (Longview), Southern Methodist University (Dallas) Texas Wesleyan University (Fort Worth), Universty of Mary Hardin Baylor (Belton). The Texas Community colleges were Jacksonville College, Kilgore College, Navarro College (Corsicana), Panola College (Carthage) and Tyler Junior College. The out-of-state university/colleges were Henderson State University (Arkansas), Liberty University (Virginia), Louisiana Tech University (Ruston) Mississippi State University(Starkville), Ouachita Baptist University (Arkadelphia, AR), University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa), University of Arkansas (Fayetteville), and University of Tennessee(Knoxvile). The career and technical institutions were FIDM-Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandisng (San Diego, CA), Sante Fe University of Art and Design (Santa Fe, New Mexico), and Texas State Technical College (Marshall).
