Members of Student Senate and the Child Development CTE program traveled to Kissam Elementary School on November 7th for the annual “Kissam University” day.

‘Kissam U’ is an opportunity for students to experience what it’s like to work with elementary students. Following embers of the D.A.S.H (Drug, Alcohol, Safety, & Health Committee) and Mrs.Childs’ “Ready, Set, Teach” program joined all volunteers from around Tyler and interacted with the students.

Each group of students had their own session to work with the younger students. Activities ranged from dancing,  cheer routines, cooking, learning new languages, finger-painting, “exploring the galaxy”, learning the basics to different sports, and leadership building activities.
